National Ground Water Association - Awards of Excellence Honors Westlake Pipe & Fittings

The National Ground Water Association (NGWA) selected Westlake Pipe & Fittings as the winner of the “Excellence for Equipment Design Award” for 2021.  The NGWA award honors the “Best of the Best” for equipment or product design that promotes safety as well as efficiency and ease of operation, while supporting the growth and well-being of the groundwater industry. This prestigious award recognizes the innovative development of the new Certa-Lok® CLIC™ well casing PVC pipe product.  

Certa-Lok CLIC is a truly advanced design that takes the field proven Certa-Lok integral bell water well casing to the next level.  The pioneering design addresses the growing demand for a casing that is both faster and easier to install than conventional solvent weld casing or any mechanical joint casing on the market today, reducing assembly time over 40% in most applications. 

Speed of assembly saves drilling contractors real, predictable cost in the form of rig operating expense on a per hour measure. The increased speed prevents unpredictable loss by providing a way to install casing very quickly in loose, unconsolidated formations that can experience cave-in issues. Over the course of a drilling season, the assembly time saved limits wear and tear on equipment and people, reduces overtime, improves safety, increases installation efficiency and creates additional capacity for a rig and crew to drill and install additional wells.
